Whatsapp Universities and its slow inciting agendas

In India, alongside the prestigious globally-recognised universities that produce well educated graduates every year, a handful of brain washed graduates, regardless of age, are manufactured through Whatsap Universities every day. The dichotomy of both lies in their very existence. One is publically acclaimed, while the other is an underground third rate business. Though the former might look like an unorganized propoganda-driven sector from the outside, it is not. It's just as organized as its counterpart.

The WU (Whtsap universities) are owned and run by various communities( it could be those with religious foundations, a political alliance or other agendas) with the help of their hyper active IT cells comprising youngsters who work 24x7 to propogate their agendas. However, it's not them who decide what to propogate and what not to. These communities mostly follow a hierarchical structure. The leaders on the top provide their subordinates with informations which is further passed on to their secret IT cells, and later to the group admins who spread the messages to their whatsap group members. The messages however will be in the form of memes or misleading statements that either target opposition parties or promote community accomplishments. Though this might seem less problematic, the real issue arise when an extra ingredient is added to it; Hatred.

The main agenda of a whatsap group is to manipulate it's members within the circle. By doing so, one might have to point out some of the shortcomings of the party which seems unlikely. Hence, to avoid such practices, what they do is, they start blaming their counterparts for their shortcomings through which they conceal the real issue and deviate their members's attention elsewhere. Here's where hatred gets it's turn. They wrap the events in a communal angle or victimize their oppositions as if they are the root cause of all their problems. By doing so they get the sympathy from their own people which eventually helps them in further polarisations. This is how, hate filled memes and messages lay the basement to whatsap universities. Hence it is very difficult to talk someone out of something, to tell them the truth, nowadays because they are relentlessly brain washed almost on a daily basis

Recent events taught us that, we are living in an era in which our governments are censoring the virtues of secularism, integrity and fraternity in broad daylight light. With the whatsap universities working overwhelmingly alongside, the coming generations wouldn't have a clue about the wisdoms one must carry along. Instead their little brains will be filled with toxic to its brim. So before neglecting the influence such practices could have, think over it. As a matter of fact, it is high time we bring this frivolous looking practice to the eyes of the judiciary and urge them to ban these hate mongering whatsap groups with immediate effect

Speeding Through Content: A Challenge to Our Tolerance and Patience

Many of the leading online streaming applications have introduced a speed control option as their latest update. Seemingly, it is quite a remarkable updation as users are provided the opportunity to manually adjust the speed of the video they are watching online. But have you thought about the consequences this might lead to in the long run? Here's my take on it.  We humans naturally have common innate behaviors that help us to thrive in every situation we routinely encounter. However, patience is one such trait that is pivotal to our existence. With the inclusion of attributes that help regulate the pace of videos to save time, ultimately, our patience level is likely to gradually decline which will in turn affect our mental wellness. Earlier, while streaming videos online we used to watch them at their original speed. But now we can watch it in 1.5,2.0 etc. to save time. This change cannot be taken lightly because once we make it a habit there won't be a comeback from it. Eve...

Mindless Scrolling

Excessive use of social media platforms like Instagram and Facebook can significantly impact one's mental health. If not addressed in a timely manner, it can lead to serious consequences, as these platforms often serve as gateways to anxiety and depression. So, what factors draw people into this trap? To understand this, we must analyze how these applications operate. Firstly, they are designed to allow users to share personal life events with the world. Consequently, people tend to showcase only the happy moments while concealing the harsh realities they face. As a result, viewers are led to believe that their friends or colleagues are living peaceful and joyful lives. This creates insecurity among those scrolling through their feeds, making them feel inadequate without realizing that what they see is a filtered version of reality. Ultimately, this leads to unhealthy comparisons. How does comparing ourselves to others help in "connecting people"? Secondly, there's ...

Reckoning the Child in us

I've often wondered how childhood experiences shape our adulthood. Certain factors play a crucial role in developing an individual's mental state, including past incidents and parental care. A child raised in a loving foster family is likely to develop enthusiasm for others and enjoy a healthier mental state in early adulthood. Conversely, a child subjected to toxic parenting may exhibit signs of emotional instability as they grow older, having been deprived of love and attention or, overprotected in an unhealthy manner. Additionally, past encounters can also manifest in one’s behavior long after leaving adolescence. For instance, if you were bullied in school for your appearance, each glance in the mirror might remind you of that pain. These unpleasant memories often resurface, particularly when you find yourself in situations that echo those past experiences, such as talking to someone new or being around others who fit societal beauty standards. Such inhibitions don’t simp...
